Web Plagiarism is thefting or stealing of art, style, content and creative work. In some cases robbery of some ones ideas, information, writing without acknowledgement of unique resource, can be termed as plagiarism. So when it happens online it termed as web plagiarism. Search engines are also considering it as a black hat technique.

In several ways Web Plagiarism is done:

1. Image Theft

An image is any artwork, cartoon, photograph, drawing, or graphic. According to international copyright law, it belongs to the artist who created the artwork. Only they can give authorization to reprint the work, and by law, it can only be used with permission.

2. RSS or Feed Content Theft

While designing a site the designer has to collect lots of information about the product or place on which the site/page is based. But some people don't want to spare time in collecting the information, so they simply collect the information from different sites and put into their site without any modification. By which it seems that the site has an unique collection of data.

This is acceptable upto a limit, if only headlines or quotations are used and not the full article or content. The issue of theft arises when this is done without prior authorization of the original content writer.

Website Hijacking

This is another way of robbery of content, design, layout & images. In this case what happens generally they kidnapped your website page and start working on it using their levels with a little bit modification. Where they don't have to spend time for designing the layout, css file, etc. This is called Website Hijacking.

Register Your Copyright:

After completion of your website, it should be copyright protected. Because unless and until your site is not copyright protected any one can easily steal the content and pictures and use in his site, where you can't take any legal step against that site. So it must be done as quick as possible.
